What medical errors can lead to skin cancer?

There are various types of skin cancer, squamous cell cancer, basal cell cancer, and melanoma. Melanoma is the most serious and if not picked up timely and treated, death is almost inevitable. And the clinician must appreciate a lesion that presents it's self under certain cicumstances and be sure to biopsy it and then even if surgery is done, to be sure that free margins are obtained and If they do excise that lesion, that they do get all of it and confirm pathologically that they have all of it. When these things don't happen, there's a very serious lawsuit that follows.
