How badly will a DUI effect the cost of my car insurance?

The Law Offices of Virginia L Landry, Inc.

Unfortunately, if you have been convicted of driving under the influence in California your insurance rates will be affected. A first-time driving under the influence allegation still entitles you to insurance, and the carriers will cover you for an increased premium. If you are a second or a multiple offender, insurance may not be able to be provided because unless you win the DMV hearing, you no longer have the ability to drive in California. If you are convicted as a multiple offender, your license will be taken away anywhere from one to four years depending upon your particular case. I'm Virginia Landry.
